Spelling Sorts!

Your student received their first spelling list today!  Their homework every night this week is to sort their words by the spelling pattern.  We did this once in class today. so your student should be able to do this at home.

They will first pick out the headings that are printed in bold.  Then they should put each word under the correct category.  For example: Under the category -ot, there could be words got, hot, and lot.  Your student should be saying each word while he or she is doing this as well.

Please remind your student to turn their Homework Folder in every morning as well as put their lunchbox (unless it needs refrigeration) in the red tub in the back of the room.  If they have a snack for the day, they should be putting it in the snack box first thing in the morning.
