Homework for Language Arts:
Your student will be bringing home a handwriting worksheet to complete almost every night. The homework page is the same as the practice sheet that he or she completed in class that day. Good handwriting is an important skill not only to be legible for others to read your writing, but it also helps build strong fine motor skills.
Your student also recieved his or her new spelling word sorts. Please encourage and support your child at home with this. Refer to the handout for specific nightly activities.
Homework for Mrs. Fells' Math Class:
Your student should be studying with her flashcards every night, either on her own or with a family member. We will be taking timed math fact quizzes every day to improve on speed and accuracy. We are beginning our new unit now which will cover geometry and fractions.
